This notice explains what personal data Pixel Caption collects through pixelcaption.com, why, how long we keep it and the choices you have. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Who we are
Pixel Caption is a D2C growth agency in Kalkaji, New Delhi. Registered business: Pixel Caption, No 2, 129A/2 Govindpuri, Kalkaji Gali, opposite Kalka Bus Depot, New Delhi, Delhi 110019, India. For this website we are the data fiduciary: we decide why and how your data is used.
Questions or requests go to our growth team at contact@pixelcaption.com. There is no single person to chase; the team answers from a shared inbox.
What we collect, and why
- Growth audit requests (contact form): your name, brand, sales channel, revenue range, what you need most, your email and your mobile number. We use them to prepare your audit and reply to you, including by phone call or WhatsApp.
- Free Shopify components and blog sign-ups: your email and, if you give it, your store address. We use them to send what you asked for.
- Marketing emails: only if you tick the box. It is unticked by default and you can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
- Job applications: your name, email, phone, city, experience, notice period, any link or note you add, and your CV. We use them to consider you for the role. Your CV is checked for safety and emailed to our team inbox; it is not stored on this website.
- Team sign-in (our staff only): work email and session records, to keep the admin panel secure.
- Analytics: only if you accept cookies. We then use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (clicks, scrolls, anonymised session replays) so we can improve the site.
Our basis for using it
We use your data because you gave it to us for a specific purpose (your consent under the DPDP Act), for example by sending a form. Marketing emails and analytics need a separate, clear yes from you. You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal data. We share it only with the services that run this website for us, under their own data protection terms:
- Vercel: hosting.
- Neon: our database (form submissions and sign-ups).
- Resend: sending emails such as your audit confirmation.
- Microsoft Clarity: analytics, only if you accept cookies.
How long we keep it
- Audit requests: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Job applications and CVs: up to 1 year, then deleted. Ask us any time to delete yours sooner.
- Analytics: as set by Microsoft Clarity’s own retention policy.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us for a summary of the data we hold about you, correct or update it, have it erased, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you. Email contact@pixelcaption.com and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie, only for our team’s admin sign-in. Analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) load only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Team access is by one-time email links, and sessions are checked on every request. If a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Children
This website is meant for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced on this page.
